About Chinatown Express
Chinatown Express is a chinese restaurant in Venice, California. It is listed at 317 Lincoln Blvd, Venice, CA 90291, which places it among the local businesses of Venice that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 10:30 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (310) 396-9128. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, chinatownexpressvenice.com.
Its Google rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 283 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Venice is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Traffic in Venice peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. I didn’t share the first time cause you let one go usually once we ordered the teriyaki chicken and it legit had feathers on it. Today my wife orders again and gets spicy beef that had three pieces of beef tons of veggies. Then this beef chow and I have never seen beef that’s pink and white not sure what animal was cooked and served but that wasn’t cow meat for sure less than one star horrid will never visit or order here again.

Good amount of food for $13 but I don't trust the meat all that much. Combo 2 is $10 before tax, glass noodles were fine chow mein was alright, black pepper chicken had a weird sauce but wasn't terrible and orange chicken was maybe 2 steps down from panda express. Like it was way oversauced but it was still slightly crispy. I dunno how that's even possible. 3/5 I like how off-putting the lady is working the line, not a single smile from her the entire time. It's just like 3rd grade with mrs hudock except I'm not getting a book thrown at me by this Chinese lady.

Hands down best place to go for lunch or dinner. No joke I eat lunch here 2-4 times per week. Every menu item is flavorful and cooked to perfection. Decently priced, definitely best bang for your buck around. Staff is always friendly as well. If you’re looking to get full under $12, this is the place to be.

I came in for an early lunch and the food was so fresh and delicious. I noticed I was only charged $.35 for a credit card use so that’s a plus. A price of an orange chicken bowl with chow mein was under $10. It got me really full, so I’m really satisfied. If you’re craving Chinese American food, you won’t be let down here.
